Offered is a Superb Babe Ruth and Gary Cooper "Pride of the Yankees" autographed baseball. In 1942, one year after the tragic passing of Lou Gehrig from ALS, the iconic motion picture "Pride of the Yankees" was released. The movie featured Gary Cooper as Gehrig and became one of the most noted baseball related films in history. Several of Gehrig's teammates appeared in the film (as themselves) most notably Babe Ruth. Offered is a lightly toned and clear coated Harwood "Dollar Lively" ball which has been signed by Babe Ruth across the sweet spot in addition to several other cast members. Ruth signature is striking and bold rating 8 out of 10. The remainder of the signatures include Gary Cooper, Teresa Wright, Bill Dickey, Bob Meusel, Glenn Wright, Babe Herman, and Wayne Osbourne. These additional cast member signatures all present very well ranging from 6-8 out of 10. A very small population of signed baseballs of this type are know to exist with this example ranking among the very top condition grade specimens.
