Cal Ripken Jr. wore these offered Nike cleats during a matchup between the Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals on May 2, 1993. A 4-3 victory for the O's, Ripken went 0-3 with 2 walks in 5 plate appearances. Ripken Jr. posted an average of .257 with 165 hits, 87 runs scored, 24 home runs, and 90 RBIs during a season that saw Ripken Jr. earn the 11th All-Star and 6th Silver Slugger Award of his storied career. These black leather cleats display excellent game use and were made of black leather with orange synthetic leather Nike swooshes. The Velcro fastened lace guards and heels feature an orange embroidered "Nike" above the swoosh. The heels and ankles are cushioned with foam padding, and the hard rubber soles are anchored with six stainless steel spikes. "5-02-93" is written in black marker o the sole of the right cleat in an unknown hand. These cleats come directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr., and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany these cleats.
